Above the sea level
One will find here photos taken in Tibet, Iran, Nepal, Italy and Mongolia (to name a few). Those pictures were taken during the period of last 10 years. Their common feature is height. This is in particular a mountain landscape. By photographing the space above the sea level Jacek wants to show its beauty but also to emphasize that in particular mountains, are an element which demands respect and humility.
Tibet
Have you ever thought about going to Tibet? Does it occupy your imagination with its infinite and impenetrable access? If so, then in this very moment you can move in to this landscape, imagine this space and sense of freedom.
Photos are showing the landscape of Tibet. They were made while hitchhiking, on the route Chengdu – Lhasa – Shigatse – Lhatse – Tingri – Kodari (border with Nepal).
Etna
Road to the Etna volcano in Sicilly it is an unreal and lunar landscape for me. It returns in my memory with sharp, clear colors, black lava and heat. It is a suprising place on the map of the world, where once again the nature remind us who has the last word.
Iran
The Elbrus Mountains and their distinctive rock formations, reminding a bit the Colorado landscape in the United States, occupy a special place in my memory. That’s way I decided to place them in this gallery. Because of their special charm, the unspoilt beauty and peace I had there.
Nepal
One think – Nepal, one think – trekking. As trekking, why not Annapurna Sanctuary? I invite you to watch the selected fragments of this tour on the attached photos.
Mongolia
Infinity, infinity and again infinity. If you want to feel what space means, what does it mean to drive a few hours to a place that seems so close, it’s just in Mongolia.
Photos taken during the expedition to the Gobi desert.
